As we near Week 1 of the 2023 NFL season, it's time to browse the available tournaments on your favorite NFL DFS site and pick your best lineup for the inaugural Sunday of the regular season. Although there's a lot of uncertainty regarding the outcome of each Week 1 game, there are still plenty of stud and sleeper picks with plus matchups on DraftKings who make for strong daily fantasy football tournament plays.Our Week 1 DraftKings lineup features several high-usage skill position players along with a couple of under-the-radar value picks, potentially helping us start the DFS season in the black. We centered our lineup around a two-player Dolphins' stack and several sub-$6K sleepers with upside.Before we break down all of our picks, here are the most notable scoring rules for DraftKings contests:  Full-point PPR,  four-point pa sing TDs,  three-point bonuses for 100 rushing yards,  100 receiving yards,  and 300 pa sing yards.MORE WEEK 1 DFS: QB Tua Tagovailoa, Dolphins @ Chargers ($6,700).Tagovailoa and the Dolphins look to make amends for last season's 23-17 lo s to the Chargers in Week 14. Tagovailoa had one of the least productive games of his career that night, completing just 10-of-28 pa ses for 145 yards and Jim Rice Jersey  a TD (12.6 DK points). For a Chargers' secondary that largely disappointed last season, Week 14 was one of their better performances, posting a respectable coverage grade of . That said, we don't expect L.A. to hold a Miami offense that ranked eighth in dropback EPA last season () to 17 points and 219 total yards again, so we'll gladly dish out $6,700 to roster a stable, high-ceiling QB in Tagovailoa.RB Cam Akers, Rams @ Seahawks ($6,200).Akers' strong finish last season gives us confidence in his ability to potentially put up 20-plus DK points in a favorable matchup against a middle-of-the-pack Seahawks defense. Over the past six weeks of the regular season, Akers finished as the overall RB4 in PPR formats, ending his season with an 18.8-point output in DK contests against Seattle in Week 18 (21 carries, 104 yards, three receptions, 24 yards). Akers' reliable volume at the tail end of the regular Roger Clemens Jersey  season (19.7 touches per game) makes him a strong DFS play with little competition for touches as the Rams' go-to RB.WEEK 1 STANDARD RANKINGS: | | | | | RB Brian Robinson Jr., Commanders vs. Cardinals ($5,100).Although Robinson Jr. isn't much of a threat in the receiving game (nine receptions, 60 yards in '22), his reliable usage in the ground game gives him a chance to record 100-plus yards for just the second time in his career. While new offensive coordinator Eric Bieniemy's scheme will be more pa s-heavy, with the Commanders sitting as touchdown favorites over the Cardinals, a positive game script likely results in plenty of carries for their early-down back. Sure, he wasn't efficient given his workload in his rookie season (-14.4 EPA), but whenever you can roster an RB with 20-plus potential at $5,100, you do it.WR Tyreek Hill, Dolphins @ Chargers ($8,200).DFS players can never go wrong stacking Tagovailoa with Hill, and in a game with the highest Tony Conigliaro Jersey  over/under of the main slate contests (50.5), plenty of offense is expected in this one. While Tagovailoa had a night to forget against the Chargers in 2022, Hill was his usual self, scoring 24.1 DK points (four receptions, 81 yards, one TD). The "Cheetah" posted the second-highest target share among WRs last season (31.6 percent), and he's always a threat to see 10-plus catches and record 100-plus yards while reaching paydirt.WEEK 1 PPR RANKINGS: | | | | | WR Chris Olave, Saints vs. Titans ($6,500).Olave aims to post an even more productive sophomore season, catching pa ses from the Saints' new QB1, Derek Carr. Olave's big play ability (14.0 aDOT, 29 deep targets) makes him an enticing, high-upside play in GPP tournaments. All it takes is one chunk play for Olave to pay off for DFS players, and with Carr being one of the better deep pa sers in the game (+3.5 deep CPOE in '22), Olave's high ceiling gives us a chance to climb up the leaderboards.WR Chris Godwin, Buccaneers @ Vikings ($5,900).Not having the GOAT by your side certainly lowers Godwin's ceiling in 2023, but the Penn State product has proven he can produce without a top-tier QB. Yes, the offense will undoubtedly be more run-heavy after leading the league in pa s attempts each of the past two seasons, but there's a good chance Tampa's playing from behind in Week 1, forcing offensive coordinator Dave Canales to pa s at a high clip. Godwin's declined yards-per-reception numbers could be a cause for concern, but he still should have a solid floor and ceiling in PPR formats.TE David Njoku, Browns vs. Bengals ($4,200). Unle s you decide to spend top dollar on Mark Andrews ($6,200), T.J. Hockenson ($5,900), or George Kittle ($5,700), you have to chase TD upside at TE. Njoku's elite red-zone usage (20 red-zone targets in 2022) could result in a TD reception in Week 1, so we'll take a chance on Cleveland's TE1 reaching paydirt in the Browns' home opener. Njoku's a trusted option of Deshaun Watson's, so we're banking on the duo connecting for six.FLEX Quentin Johnston, Chargers vs. Dolphins ($4,400).Since we expect plenty of Andrew Benintendi Jersey  offense in the Dolphins-Chargers game, we'll take a chance on this first-round rookie getting his pro career off on the right foot. While he's unquestionably the Chargers' No. 3 wideout entering the season, in the L.A.'s new-look offense under new offensive coordinator Kellen Moore, there are likely enough targets to go around for L.A.'s top three wideouts to get theirs.DEF Commanders vs. Cardinals ($2,800).With Kyler Murray (knee) beginning the season on the PUP list, Arizona will start veteran Josh Dobbs or Clayton Tune at QB. Dobbs wasn't with the team during their three preseason games, so it could be a rocky one if he gets the starting nod. The Commanders' defense probably garners a high roster percentage, but for good reason. We'd be surprised to see the Cardinals' offense put up 20-plus points behind a , so we could see the Commanders rack up a handful of sacks and a couple of turnovers.This season, we're also listing our favorite Week 1 DFS lineup on, with some of our picks and analysis overlapping.For those unfamiliar,DFS scoring involves point multipliers as opposed to traditional salary-capped or tiered contests.
