Kings D Slava Voynov facing felony charge for corporal injury to spouse

The Los Angeles County district attorney's office announced on Thursday that defenseman is facing one felony count of corporal injury to spouse following  Mark Messier Jersey his arrest in a domestic violence incident in October.If convicted, the maximum jail time is nine years in a state prison.Voynov has been suspended indefinitely by the NHL since October .According to the filing on Thursday, , Voynov caused his wife to suffer injuries to eyebrow, neck and cheek that required medical attention.He is scheduled to be arraigned at 8:30 a.m. on Dec. 1.  Voynov's attorney i  Esa Tikkanen Jersey sued a brief statement following the announcement:My. He signed a six-year, $25 million contract extension with the team in June, 2013.
